How do you define what you see?

What definition do you give to what you see?

You define what you see, what you see is what you get, what you get is what you think of.
"Adesina Oluwasegun"

I was having a conversation with a friend and a benefactor of HopeRising Initiative, in the course of discussion I discovered every individual reads a meaning to any and every situation in life.
Everyone is a philosopher under the underlabourers concept of philosophy in as much as everyone gives a particular explanation to any event in life.
In other words, a definition is more or less like an explanation on something, hence to every event we attempt to give a definition in other to be able to comprehend and bring such event to our best understanding.

This made me realize that what ever definition we give to any event or situation has a lot to play in our day to day activities in life.

The question then is, what definition do you give to the events that unfolds around you?

Danger of Negative definition.

Your definition plays a vital role.
Your definition can either hurt and cause a retarded growth or perhaps slows down the actualization of your great potential. For instance a woman had been battling with severe cough for years, each time she coughs she will say this cough will get me killed, unfortunately she died coughing.
The only definition she could give to the coughing was that, she will die coughing and it came to reality.

Give Positive Definition.

Knowing that your definition is vital to any event it's advisable to give positive definition. For when event unfolds, don't dwell on the difficulties rather focus on possibilities. Look through to get something positive. Give a positive definition, you can go ahead to say this event will fast track the actualization of my great potential.
If you are not faced with a challenge you can know your strength nor capability.
Your strength and capability lies in your ability to overcome challenges.

You've got to give a good definition, look through to see possibility and finally, you've got to take action.

Aspiration with out Action amounts to Liquidation.
Get all your aspirations to action by giving a positive definition to that event or challenge.
Define every challenge as an opportunity to make things better, don't think twice, make things better, make people life's better, make sure to touch someone's life at any events that unfolds in your life.

Embrace Your Pain

Embrace Your Pain Recently I realized that if you fail to curtain or challenge what you ought to challenge they will keep hunting you. You will keep revolving round the cycles of Nowhere.  For years, I have been trying to avoid who I am now, I have tried so much to hide, although it's not been easy to accepting the fact that I have to Lead or become a Leader nor Speak, Teach and Coach People.  I am quite shy, I believe I don't have anything to say that people will listen to, I know nothing, no experience at all, I was terrified accepting the Youth Leadership role in my church, not fully prepared mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally. I failed so many times in implementing things that will cause better change, I keep avoiding challenges, I really don't want to hurt anyone, it really hurts me when I hurt someone.  But I realize if I keep holding back not wanting to hurt anyone to cause a greater change I will be known and regarded as useless an...

Stop Focusing On Your Problem

Stop focusing on your problem! There is always a day of trouble for everyman although the time frame may differ. When there is trouble, it means there is a problem and when there is a problem you are bound to look for solutions. So many times we are faced with problems and we tried all we could and no solution and we are on the verge of giving up. At times we complain alot about the problem, we made the problem so overwhelming that we can't think of anything else than to give up. You need to stop complaining, stop telling God how big your problem is, rather tell your problem how big your God is. Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Jeremiah  32:27 You need to get this right, there is no problem that has no solution. What you call a problem has been encountered by someone in the past, nothing is new underneath the sun. You need to see that problem as a stepping stone to your greatness, don't run away from the problem,...
